Plan your marketing activity with a Virtual Assistant?

Plan your marketing activity with a Virtual Assistant
During the latter part of the year it is customary for many businesses to start planning their marketing activities for the following year. This often consists of drawing up a list of activities, mostly paid, that the company will be involved in. Does this approach actually work though?
Whilst it is often a good idea to have a ‘marketing’ calender, if the activities that you carry out are not effective then time and money will be wasted. I’m not talking in terms of product launches or specific release dates, I’m talking about the networking events that you undertake to attend; the advertisements that you continue to run for your business etc.
January is an ideal time to reassess the activities that your business undertakes, evaluate the ROI or any advertising, ensure that you are targeting the correct market and look for new markets and opportunities. Often during a recession we cut back on activities that we feel are not giving us a high ROI, but we often fail to assess why that is. Maybe the networking event we’ve been attending for the last year doesn’t have any fresh input, therefore we are repeating our message 52 times to people who aren’t necessarily our target audience.
What activities can you use a Virtual Assistant for? Here are are a few suggestions for you to consider;
- Measure the amount of business received through a referral network vs the cost of attending the network.
- Identify new opportunities and areas; such as new networking groups.
- Look at any advertising methods currently used and weigh the cost of the advert with the amount of business received via it.
- Carry out a competitor analysis: what activities are your competitors currently undertaking?
- Set up and carry out a customer survey.
You may have other activities in mind that would suit the skills of a Virtual Assistant. I’d be happy to discuss your requirements on 0844 500 8201.
