Social Media & a new plan!

Anyone following me on Twitter or Facebook will recently have seen me celebrating the completion and certification of a Social Media Marketing course.

The course, run specifically for Virtual Assistants, is by VA Classroom and looks at the main ways in which companies can promote themselves using social media sites, such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.

It was definitely an eye opener to me, although I’ve been using social media since I started my business, having a strategy to work to has now increased what I will be doing with this business.  It’s also peaked my interest in other areas and so I’ve also signed up to do the Internet Marketing course run by VA Classroom as well.  This looks more at Affiliate Marketing, Viral Marketing etc.  I’ve also become an affiliate with VA Classroom and cannot recommend the courses highly enough.  If you want to know more then click on the Affiliate links to the right.

As happens with a lot of things in my life, once I start unravelling a thread it makes me want more and more!  So to top it all off, I’m enrolling at the local University!  My aim is to do a degree in Marketing, however as a mature student and in preparation for that, I have to complete an Access/Foundation Programme first.

So from starting a business last year, being made redundant and my interest in Social Media being peaked, it looks like my new five year plan just wrote itself!
