3 reasons why you need a Virtual Assistant
If you’ve read the posts on this site, particularly the featured one entitled “What is a Virtual Assistant?“ then you may be considering adding one to your business. Here are my top 3 reasons for having a Virtual Assistant or VA.

Save Time, Save Money with a Virtual Assistant
1. Time:
Time is one of our most precious commodities; it slips through our fingers like sand, we all complain that we need more of it and it can be wasted in an instant. As business people, we all crave those extra few hours in order to get things done. We need to be actively promoting our businesses, working in our businesses whether it be making or delivering our product or service. Often the time we should be spending with our families gets eaten up with the admin side of things; invoicing, accounts, marketing, mailshots, scheduling etc.
If this is you, then adding a Virtual Assistant to your “team” is critical. Working with a VA means you can delegate tasks, projects, you name it! A Virtual Assistant can’t stop time but can definitely help you reclaim it.
Sound familiar? How about this one?
2. Money:
What is your hourly rate? I’m going to assume the rate of £150 per hour just for arguments sake! How often are you catching up with the administration side of your business? Every hour that you do this, eats into your earning capacity and profit. Time and again, I hear the excuse for not using a Virtual Assistant as ” I can’t afford one! “ Really? So you can’t afford to pay out £25 per hour for first class administration support BUT you can afford to lose £125 per hour doing your own admin?
Every hour you do the accounts, type letters, try to market your businesetc, means you are losing £125!
3. Support:
Being a sole trader can be a lonely business. Having a Virtual Assistant gives you a sense of “team”, you suddenly have someone who can watch your back; a central place to collate information when you’re “on the road”; an extra pair of eyes, ears and hands to help grow your business. No longer are you me, but we! A good Virtual Assistant is there to promote your business as much as you. Whilst you’re making or delivering, who is tweeting for you, who can answer queries, look for leads, confirm orders or contact suppliers?
A Virtual Assistant can give your business a “face” even when you aren’t able too!
